This time, Opal is bent, as usual, on a good deed trying to round up a husband for her friend Rosie (Winifred Olds) by answering a lonely hearts ad placed by “Mister Handsome” (Mark Zussman). When he arrives, he proves to be a 95- year-old escapee from a nursing home! Complications and comedy ensue when Rosie rejects her would-be suitor, and Opal reluctantly agrees to marry him to keep him out of the clutches of his scheming daughter (Jan Ross) and son-in-law (Dan Pappas). The plot thickens hilariously and, in the end, Opal is left with another delightful lesson in life to pass on to her myriad admirers. Opal’s Husband is a comedic gem!
