Synopsis

logoOpal Kronkie (Jane Zussman) the loveable junk collector who believes in the goodness of mankind and imparts little tidbits of wisdom to the audience throughout the play is back in this hilarious sequel to last season’s, Opal’s Baby. This time, Opal is bent, as usual, on a good deed trying to round up a husband for her friend Rosie (Winifred Olds) by answering a lonely hearts ad placed by “Mister Handsome” (Mark Zussman). When he arrives, he proves to be a 95- year-old escapee from a nursing home! Complications and comedy ensue when Rosie rejects her would-be suitor, and Opal reluctantly agrees to marry him to keep him out of the clutches of his scheming daughter (Jan Ross) and son-in-law (Dan Pappas). The plot thickens hilariously and, in the end, Opal is left with another delightful lesson in life to pass on to her myriad admirers. Opal’s Husband is a comedic gem!
